PURPOSE:To improve the moldability of a thermoplastic polyester while maintaining the heat resistance by compounding it with a polyphenylene ether resin and a specific compatibilizer. CONSTITUTION:30-90wt.% thermoplastic polyester is compounded with 70-10wt.% polyphenylene ether resin and 0.5-30wt.% compatibilizer comprising a styrenic polymer contg. monomer units having groups reactive with the polyester. The prepd. compsn. can be molded into various shapes such as films, sheets, injection or extrusion molded items, etc., and is useful in automotive uses, electric and electronic uses, etc. |
