The subject of the present invention is methods and devices for automatically manufacturing the tappings on looms of conducting wires or of optical fibres comprising several branches and tappings. The present invention makes it possible to produce tappings which each wire segment of the loom will have to follow: - by marking, for each wire segment (7f), the points associated with these tappings by their abscissae on each wire (7f) when it is unwound and by putting them in tapping clips (3'f), - by making up these tappings by gripping together, in tapping clips (3'f), all the intermediate points associated with the same tapping, by picking them up in the clips in which they have been stored. - the branches (7) of the loom (7a, 7b, ..., 7f) are separated and formed by spacing the tapping clips (3'a, 3'b,..., 3'f). One application is the manufacture of conductor wire looms in automatic mode. <IMAGE>
