PURPOSE:To attain the selection of a KANJI (Chinese character) proper grammatically from among the displayed plural KANJIs which are same sound and different words by providing a Japanese dictionary in a sentence preparing device. CONSTITUTION:A first selecting means 3 to select a specified character among the plural characters held by a holding means 4 to hold the plural characters read from a KANJI (Chinese character) dictionary part 6 in which KANJIs are registered temporarily, a Japanese dictionary part 7 in which the meaning of the KANJIs is registered and a second selecting means 5 to select the meaning of the characters from the Japanese dictionary part 7 are provided. In this case, when an operator does not know the character to be used from among the plural KANJIs, the meaning of the selected character is retrieved by the Japanese dictionary device 7 of a ROM, a magnetic disk and so on and is displayed by a display device 2 and the selection of the operator can be aided. Thus, an erroneous substituting of character can be prevented. |
