<p>PURPOSE:To facilitate an operation of assembling a head light main body in a general assembling line by adjusting and assembling a positioning member for positioning a bracket for supporting a retractable head light on a car body on the basis of the bonnet Position. CONSTITUTION:In a car body assembly line 1, pin holes 24, 25 of a positioning member 8 are fitted to both positioning pins 53, 54 of a positioning jig 9 and temporarily fixed by a magnet 57. Subsequently, with guide members 50, 51 of the positioning jig 9 laid along the inner surface of a front fender 49, the positioning member 8 is brought into contact with the upper surface of a fitting surface 34 and the positioning member 8 is positioned in the longitudinal direction and the cross direction. In such a condition, bolts 40, 41 are inserted and fastened and fixed by nuts 44, 45 to fix the positioning member 8 to the fitting surface 34.
