The bearing incorporates a divided bearing in the form of a connecting-rod-bearing with a cover (5). A fixture (3) encloses the bearing's periphery. The fixture (3) contains clamps (9-11) screwed (18) together at one end. At the other end, the fixture (3) has inward-pointing hooks (12,13) fitting into recesses (14) in one component (4) of the bearing (3). The clamps (9-11) are positioned axially on each side of the connecting-rod shaft (2). The clamps (9-11) are connected in pairs at their one end by means of transverse bolts (15,16) and have axial non-slip pieces (20). ADVANTAGE - The bearing is lightweight and is mounted by clamps.
