The closing mechanism is for machine housing doors, esp. washing machine doors. The door carries a spring loaded closing hook which engages with a locking mechanism on the machine housing. The closing mechanism is compact and does not project into the machine inner space. The support plate on machine inside wall has an opening for a spring. A sliding bolt has guide slot for sliding on the support plate by which the bolt is guided. A double arm actuating lever has one arm for the actuating handle. The other arm is used for moving the sliding bolt in its axial direction. This mechanism can be fitted in the vicinity of the door, e.g. a circular door with glass window. |
