Atomising burner for liq. fuel - contains rotary cup onto inner wall of which fuel is conducted, with atomising gas fed in surrounding ring channel

The rotary cup (3) is fitted around a rotation axis (6) inside which is a pipe (1) for feeding liq. fuel. The fuel reaches a spray head (7) from which it is sprayed on to the inner wall (5) of the cup (3). As liq. fuel, e.g. light heating oil is used, fed at low pressure in the pipe (1). Around the rotary cup in a ring channel (2) through which gas flows, the impulse of which is imparted to a vane (4) fitted on the outside of the rotary cup. This causes the cup to rotate. The burner is operated with clean oxygen, which flows into the ring channel at a pressure of approximately 4 bar. USE - As an atomising burner, functioning on light heating oil.
