PURPOSE:To save the preheating which requires enormous time and to drastically shorten the stages before thermal spraying by applying the force in a specific direction to a structural body to be thermally sprayed before the thermally spraying at the time of the thermally spraying of high-temp. plasma. CONSTITUTION:The force is applied to the structural body which is a body to be thermally sprayed in the direction reverse from the direction where this body expands and the high temp. gaseous plasma is sprayed in this state to the position to be thermally sprayed at the time when the above-mentioned structural body is heated. For example, a metallic ring 2 is shrinkage fitted to the outer peripheral surface of a cylindrical ceramic member (structural body) 1 having the inside peripheral surface 3 to be thermally sprayed. The force in the direction (inner peripheral direction reverse from the outer peripheral direction which is the direction where the member 1 expands is applied in this way to the member when the member 1 is heated. The thermal spraying is executed in the crackless state without preheating the member 1 when the inner peripheral surface 3 is subjected to the thermal spraying in this state. |
