PURPOSE:To automatically read the kind of parts on each parts supplying device by storing in advance the kind of parts in the storing means of each part supplying device and reading the stored kind of parts by means of a reading means before the parts are mounted after the parts supplying devices are successively mounted on a prescribed position of a parts supplying section. CONSTITUTION:When a parts assembly 12 is mounted on a parts cassette 10, a code reading means 28 reads the bar code 14 of the assembly 12 and the names, characteristic values, and holding number of the parts of the assembly are fetched from a parts data base 30. Then a reading/writing means 31 writes the data in a storing section 2 in the recording section 11 of the cassette 10. While the controlling section 27 of a parts mounting machine 1 successively moves parts supplying tables 8, a reading/writing means 9 reads the name of each parts from the storing section of the cassette 10. Then the controlling section 27 discriminates whether or not each parts are set to a prescribed position by comparing the read names of the parts of the cassette 10 with the names of parts at each mounting position stored in the storing section 26 of the parts mounting machine 1. |
