PURPOSE:To give warning in an early stage, while preventing certainly breakage of an auxiliary turbocharger by displaying that an intake bypass valve has any trouble on its valve closing side, while opening compulsorily an intake switching valve, and an exhaust switching valve. CONSTITUTION:An intake air temperature sensor 60 is provided on the inlet side of the compressor 8b of an auxiliary turbocharger 8. It is displayed on a displaying means 62 by an engine control computer 29 that an intake bypass valve 33 has trouble on its closing valve side in such a case as an intake temperature valve from the intake air temperature sensor 60 is equal to or more than a preliminarily set valve when an exhaust bypass valve 41 is controlled in its small opening. An intake switching valve 18 and an exhaust switching valve 17 are opened compulsorily on the basis of a trouble generation output signal from the intake air temperature sensor 60. It is possible for the driver of a vehicle to know generation of trouble on the closing valve side of the intake bypass valve 33. Also, it is possible to prevent certainly breakage of the auxiliary turbocharger 8 following the trouble of the intake air bypass valve 33. |
