ENVIRONMENT-CLEANING COMPOSITION

PURPOSE:To provide the subject composition capable of controlling the generation amount of chlorine dioxide by allowing pulp or a processed product thereof to adsorb an aqueous solution containing an alkali (alkaline earth) metal chlorite or stabilized chlorine dioxide and simultaneously adding a weak basic or acidic compound to the pulp or the processed product thereof. CONSTITUTION:Pulp or a processed product (e.g. paper sand) is allowed to adsorb the aqueous solution containing an alkali (alkaline earth) metal chlorite salt or a stabilized chlorine dioxide (e.g. sodium percarbonate) and simultaneously compounded with a weak basic compound (e.g. Na2CO3) or a weak acidic compound (e.g. diluted hydrochloric acid) for the change in the pH of the composition to provide a powdery or granular environment-cleaning composition capable of controlling the amount of generated chlorine dioxide gas. The composition can be received and sealed in an air-permeable packaging material and fixed in an air stream to clean the environment. Since the composition can finally be decomposed, the composition can be thrown into water.
