PURPOSE:To obtain a thermosensitive recording body that is well preservable in the raw when stored in an environment at high temperature by making a recording layer contain benzotriazole compound as sensitizer and at least one out of a specific salicylic acid derivative or its polyvalent metallic salt as coloring agent. CONSTITUTION:A recording layer is made to contain at least one out of salicyclic acid derivative expressed by a formula I or II, and polyvalent metallic salt of the same as a coloring agent, and to contain furthermore benzotriazole compound as a sensitizer. In the formulae, Ar stands for phenyl group, naphtyl group, and complex aromatic ring group, Q stands for ether linkage, or sulfonyl linkage, A stands for ether linkage, ester linkage, and amide linkage or alkylene group, or alylene group, X stands for hydrogen atom, alkyl group, alkoxyl group, nitro group, or halogen atom, and Y stands for hydrogen atom, alkyl group or halogen atom.
