The VCR to which the circuit is applicable includes an antenna (1), a tuner (2), a video IF amplifying section (3), a filter (12), a video signal detecting section (4) and a filtering section (5). The output terminal of the tuner (2) is connected through the filter (6) and a sound IF amplifying and detecting section (7) to both a 4.5 MHz low pass filter (8) and a 4.7 MHz low pass filter (9) in parallel. The output terminals of the low pass filters (8,9) and the output terminal of an NTSC two-carrier decoding section (11) are connected to left and right sound output terminals. With the circuit, the bulk of VCR is greatly reduced.
