The device maintains the ejector function position during interchange of tool ejectors. It has a machine ejector (10) for each tool stage (1), a grab rail transporter system (26), a holder for the workpieces (14), a tool interchange frame (6), and adjusting devices for the frame. The ejectors are positioned non-movable. A frame ejector (11) of adjustable length is located between tool ejector (35) and machine ejector, and is connected to the top tool (19), in tool- and ejector interchange position. A cam drive (46) for each tool stage is located on the slide (2), to free the connection between frame ejector and top part. A precision positioner device (49) in the interchange frame, is located pivoted between top- and lower parts (20). A safety device creates conditions for tool interchange.
