Security mechanism for release of ignition - makes use of pin controlled by rotating cam

The security system is used to control the withdrawal of a key from a steering and ignition lock in a vehicle having a rotating cam (3). This cam can act progressively on a pin (8). The pin actuates a displacement body (7) which works in conjunction with security elements (14, 14') moving within V-shaped recesses (17, 17') created as the cam rotates. USE/ADVANTAGE - Security system prevents the withdrawal of an ignition key in a vehicle unless a simple set of instructions is followed.
