Process for the production of multicomponent polymer fibres for wet spinning, characterised in that it essentially comprises a combination of the following operations: - preparation, with stirring if appropriate, of a homogeneous isotropic solution in sulphuric acid of a molecular composite comprising a matrix of poly (paraphenylene-1,3,4-oxydiazole) containing poly(paraphenyleneterephthalamide), - if appropriate, separation of solid impurities from the resulting solution in order to obtain a transparent solution, - degassing of the resulting transparent solution, - protection of the resulting viscous solution under an inert gas atmosphere, - obtaining fibres of the aforesaid molecular composite by coagulation of the said viscous solution in a non- solvent liquid, - washing the fibres at least to complete neutralisation in at least one non-solvent, and - drying and packaging the fibres obtained in this way. Figure 1 shows the change in elastic modulus of the fibres according to the invention in relation to their percentage poly(paraphenyleneterephthalamide) (PPTA) content. <IMAGE> |
