Current contact nozzle for welding burner - having large area contact with holding tube to enable good heat dissipation

Current contact nozzle arrangement of a welding burner consists of a solid longitudinal tube (4) into which the contact nozzle (5) is fitted so that it is partially protruding from the tube (4). The amt. of protrusion (U) is max. the internal dia. (D) of the tube and at least half the length of the nozzle (5). The tube (4) and nozzle (5) are in tight fitting contact in order to ensure good thermal conduction. USE/ADVANTAGE - The heating of the nozzle is reduced due to the increased surface of thermal conduction thereby reducing wire feed problems.
