PURPOSE:To surely discriminate a minute quantity of stain on the surface of an eggshell by applying ultraviolet rays on the surface of the eggshell and thereby making a stained part emit fluorescence. CONSTITUTION:The ultraviolet rays having a wavelength of 3,000Angstrom -4,000Angstrom are applied on the surface of the sheel of an egg passing through a egg-washing process, a drying and selecting process or the like and seeming as if no stain such as fowl droppings is stuck thereto by naked eyes. Then, since the stained part, if any, gives fluorescence, the state of stain on the surface of the eggshell can be discriminated by watching the same in the gloom. |
