DEVELOPER CONCENTRATION CONTROLLER

PURPOSE:To keep an efficient toner concentration in a developer constant and to obtain the image of a stable density by correcting a standard value starting the replenishment of the developer while the deterioration of the developer is considered, and conducting the replenishment of the developer. CONSTITUTION:The toner concentration of the developer 11 converts the transmissivity of the developer 11 to a concentration value (a logarithm of a reciprocal of the transmissivity) with a detector 5 and is inputted to a comparator 31 as a detected concentration signal 101. The detected concentration signal 101 inputted to the comparator 31 is compared with a standard concentration signal 102 and outputted as a control signal 103. In this case whenever the concentrated developer is replenished, a new standard concentration value is calculated and by using this calculated standard concentration value the replenishment of the next concentrated developer is controlled. Hence the toner concentration always relating to the development is kept constant.
