The prepd. package blanks (21,22) are folded around hollow cores to form soft packs, while the machine (20) rotates in a continuous process. The cores are withdrawn to allow the cigarette blocks to be inserted. The components for the cigarette pack are fed to the equipment in a continuous process, and do not require complex synchronising members. The pack is folded into shape by passing different work stations around the rotary support.
