The machine consists of a lower cutting drum (3) with a number of grooves (4) spaced out along its length at right angles to its long axis, and two upper cutters (5), one at either end of the drum (3). The upper cutters (5) are swinging circular blades (6) mounted in holders (7), which swing across the drum (3) at right angles to its axle (8) through one of the grooves (4), and can slide horizontally parallel to the axle (8) on guide rails (9). The drum (3) consists of a number of detachable half shells set on the axle (8) which in pairs expand to rings (10) embracing a number of grooves (4). USE/ADVANTAGE - Totally serviceable and easy to maintain.
