<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a high-density hybrid integrated circuit through realization of a thick-film resistor of relatively small dimension and large trimming ratio for maximum to minimum resistance value by designing the title circuit so as to have a thick-film resistor having two or more regions gradually thicker in the breadth direction and connected to conductors at both ends in the longitudinal direction. CONSTITUTION:This circuit is so designed as to have a thick-film resistor (a) having two or more regions a1, a2 gradually thicker in the breadth W direction and connected to conductors b1, b2 at both ends in the length L direction. For example, the resistor (a) has a breadth W and a thick region a1 w1 wide and a thin region a2 w2 wide with two conductors b1, b2 connected to both ends and the trimming is made along a track (c) starting from the thick region a1. This design causes gradient to be gradually sharper up to the end w1 of the thick region a1 by showing a similar variation in resistance value as that of a normal resistor, and then to be smooth again upon entrance from w1 into the thin region a2; therefore, even in a maximum trimmed state Max, functional trimming can be made exactly.</p> |
