PURPOSE:To enhance the dispersibility and resolution of white pigments and to improve image quality by adding a specific weight ratio of the white pigment to the surface of toner particles of a specific grain size contg. a specific weight of the white pigment. CONSTITUTION:A hiding characteristic is satisfied and the splashing of the toner and the generation of fogging by the deficiency of an electrostatic charge quantity are suppressed by incorporating 1 to 30wt.% white pigment into the toner. The hiding characteristic is enhanced and the free component is suppressed to enhance the image quality by externally adding 0.5 to 10 pts.wt. white pigment to 100 pts.wt. toner. Further, the generation of the fogging, white spots, etc., is suppressed and the degradation in the resolution is suppressed by specifying the average particle size of the toner to 2 to 8mum. The hiding characteristic and the resolution are improved in this way and the dispersibility of the white pigments is improved, by which the image quality is enhanced. |
