<p>PURPOSE:To count the value larger than an access unit by dividing a memory into plural areas to count up the value of one of these divided areas, having an access to the next writable area when an unwritable state is detected to the area, and adding together the count values of plural areas when the count value of the area is obtained. CONSTITUTION:In a write state a count-up instruction is produced by a count-up instruction means 1. Thus an unwritable state detection means 2 checks whether a count-up operation is possible or not to a store area 6a and reports this check result to an address means 5. The means 5 addresses the next store area 6b if an unwritable state is detected and adds 1 to the count value of the addressed store area. Thus a write operation is carried out. In a read state the areas 6a and then 6b are successively read through the means 5 and the value is repetitively added to a counter 3 through an adder means 4. The total count value is obtained through a series of those operations. Thus the count value larger than the address unit of an EEPROM can be stored.</p> |
