PURPOSE:To obtain an information recording medium having more stable reflectance and high quality by using a transfer film of recording layer produced in another process to form the recording layer of the objective medium by a dry process with heat or pressure. CONSTITUTION:A film having a recording layer is brought into contact with a substrate 2 in a manner that the recording layer on the film 7 comes into contact with the substrate and that the recording layer 3 on the film 7 is transferred onto the substrate surface by heating and pressing the film with a press and heater roll 8. Then a protective substrate 5 is laminated on the substrate 2 having the transferred recording layer 3 via an adhesion layer 4 interposed. Therefore, the recording layer is made wholly uniform and free from inhomogeneous area around the edges which appear in a recording layer formed by wet method. Thus, the obtd. medium has constant reflectance of the recording layer from which uniform and good reproducing signals can be obtd. |
