The dosimeter is made by the technique of integration and miniaturisation, and includes three main components, or "chips": a detector diode (1), a specialised analog circuit (2), and a microcontroller (3). It uses bipolar technology with weakly polarised microwave transistors, a program run (executed) with supply shutdown times between processings, and two clocks, one slow (15) and one fast (16), one or other of which are used depending on the level of irradiation, i.e. low or high respectively. <IMAGE>
