Device for continuous heat treatment of metal strips

Device for heat treating metallic strips (1) has a heat treatment section containing a heating region (4) and a first cooling region (5), and nozzle fields (8o, 8u, 9o, 9u) for producing impact beams onto the strips. The strips are guided through the heating region and the first cooling region without contacting any parts. The distance between the nozzle fields arranged on both sides of the strips is constant in both regions. The strips are tensioned in the regions by rollers (2, 3) under the action of a gravitational force. The progress of the strip observed from above has a concave curve.
