A friction texturising appliance has parallel driven rollers with friction discs between. The end disc is held to the spindle by a screwed cap with a ratchet tool to release it. The spindle is held steady by an inserted centre tool. Both tools work together, and have inserts for hexagon countersink. The tool pref. has two wings. The hexagon insert fits into the hexagon countersink head of the bolt which screws into the thread to hold the cap to the spindle. The wing (8) has a shaft (9) with hexagon end, of smaller dimensions, to fit into a hexagon countersink which is bored into the interior of the spindle, and acts as a ratchet. ADVANTAGE - The discs can be adjusted for tension by the tool without removing the spindle. Similarly the discs can be changed. The tool is applied at one end of the spindle only.
