PURPOSE:To obtain a thermal transfer recording ink sheet superior in shelf stability of the sheet per se and dyestuff transfer properties by a method wherein an ink layer containing a polyvinyl acetal resin and/or a cellulose resin, a polyparabanic acid resin, and a thermally diffusing dyestuff is provided on a substrate. CONSTITUTION:In a thermal transfer recording ink sheet, an ink layer containing a polyvinyl acetal resin and/or a cellulose resin, a polyparabanic acid resin, and a thermally diffusing dyestuff is provided on a substrate. As the thermally diffusing dyestuff, a cyan dyestuff, a magenta dyestuff, and an yellow dyestuff can be exemplified. The loading amount of the thermally diffusing dyestuff on the substrate is normally 0.1-20g per square meter. The shelf stability and the dye transfer properties cannot be improved unless the polyvinyl acetal resin and/or the cellulose resin and the polyparabanic acid resin are used for a binder. With the use of this thermal transfer recording ink sheet, improved shelf stability is ensured, the occurrence of scumming is prevented, good dyestuff transfer properties are obtained, and a sharp and high-density image can be obtained. |
