PURPOSE:To prevent ink drops at the nozzle sections of ink jet heads, the mixing of bubbles and the scattering of ink by a method wherein ink pressure is instantaneously interrupted and held by means of a solenoid valve, and pressure sensors are mounted before and behind the solenoid valve. CONSTITUTION:A solenoid valve 23 is closed, and an ink pressurizing pump 12 is driven. Ink pressure between the valve 23 and the pump 12 is detected by means of the first pressure sensor 21, and the solenoid valve 23 is opened when the reaching of ink pressure to a fixed value is detected, and ink is jetted through nozzles from ink jet heads 1. In this case, ink pressure is detected by means of the second pressure sensor 26, and the discharge pressure of the ink pressurizing pump 12 is controlled. |
