METHOD FOR OBTAINING POLYPEPTIDES IN A CELL-FREE TRANSLATION SYSTEM.

Polypeptides are obtained on ribosomes in a cell-free translation system containing a matrix RNA and, as substrates, ATP, GTP and amino acids by means of a process during which translation products are generated in said system, which include the desired polypeptide, AMP, GDP, pyrophosphate and non-organic phosphate which are removed from the translation system as substrates are consumed, while ATP, GTP and amino acids are simultaneously fed in the system, as substrates, to maintain their initial concentration. In the course of translation is used a translation system which is based on ribosomes, includes matrix RNA and, as substrates, ATP, GTP, amino acids, and is immobilized in microcapsules whose envelope consists of polyelectrolyte complexes.
