The present invention relates to a process for the manufacture of a preparation containing a high content of d- alpha -tocopherol. According to the invention, leaves of plants chosen from the Caprifoliaceae, Lauraceae, Myrtaceae, Ericaceae, Fagaceae, Pinaceae, Fabaceae, Oleaceae, Anacardiaceae, Rhamnaceae or Valerianaceae families are procured, the said leaves are then dried and reduced to a powder, the said dried and powdered leaves are brought into contact with a first solvent, the suspension is filtered, the said first solvent is evaporated and a non-volatile extract is recovered which is concentrated. The technical field of the invention is that of fine chemistry.
