PURPOSE:To enable efficient cutting operation by automatically accurately cutting off a corrugated pipe deformed by a caterpillar type continuous metal mold and moved travellingly in a predetermined position with a self-propelling cutting device moved with the same speed as the pipe. CONSTITUTION:A locating mechanism 20 provided on a truck 10 for a self-propelling cutting device movable with the same speed as a corrugated pipe 1 is adapted to engage a predetermined part of the corrugated pipe 1 and start the travelling of the cutting device. In the process of moving the corrugated pipe 1 and cutting device with the same speed, a predetermined part of the corrugated pipe 1 is removably clamped by holding mechanisms 30A, 30B provided in the cutting device. Next, specified parts of the holding mechanisms 30A, 30B are cut off by a cutting edge 41 movable forward and backward to form an end of a predetermined shape in one side of the corrugated pipe 1. The unprocessed end of the separated corrugated pipe 1 is guided to a predetermined position by a stopper device and a portion of the unprocessed end is fixed by a clamp device to be cut off by the cutting edge and formed into an end having a predetermined shape. |
