PURPOSE:To obtain a powder expressed by the specified general formula without containing residual chlorine from cheap chloride source material by calcining a coprecipitate containing Zr and Ti at specified temp., mixing oxide powders of Pb and La, and calcining the mixture at specified temp. CONSTITUTION:In the production process of PLZT powder expressed by the formula (0<=x<=0.3, 0<=y<=1), a mixture of respective solns. containing Zr and Ti is prepared, into which a precipitating agent is added to obtain a coprecipitate containing Zr and Ti. This coprecipitate is calcined in a crucible without a lid at 1000-1400 deg.C. Then, powders of oxides of Pb and La are added to the calcined powder and calcined at 600-1000 deg.C. By this method, the coprecipitate containing Zr and Ti but no Pb is calcined, and thereby, calcination can be performed at enough temp. and use conditions of the crucible for complete evaporation of the residual chlorine without considering evaporation of Pb. Therefore, chlorine in the source material can completely be removed and the obtd. powder is excellent in transmitting property and has no pore. |
