<p>PURPOSE:To prevent damage to a tap and to simultaneously make a capstan small and light in weight by constituting a tape path from the exit of a rotary head cylinder through a capstan with roller posts only without fixed posts. CONSTITUTION:The tape path from the rotary head cylinder 19 through the capstan 20 is constituted with the roller posts 10,11 only without using fixed posts. Consequently, a tap travelling load is extremely reduced and a tape tension before the capstan 20 is greatly decreased. Thus, by decreasing the tension before the capstan 20, the required torque for the capstan 20 becomes small, the capstan 20 is made small and light in weight, and simultaneously the damage to the tape is less likely to occur.</p> |
