摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a thermal transfer image receiving material capable of high transfer density and superb transferred image preservability by providing an image receiving layer consisting of at least, polyester composed of dicarboxylic acid having an aliphatic ring and/or an aromatic ring in the main chain and a monomer component of diol, as an image receiving layer. CONSTITUTION:The typical components of monomer diol shown by formula(a) are HO(CH2)4OH, HO(CH2)5OH, HO(CH2)6OH, etc. In addition, the typical monomer diol shown by formula(b) is a diol component containing an aliphatic ring or an aromatic ring in the main chain. The monomer shown by formula(a) of the monomers is preferably of the applicable range of 5 to 30mol%. Further, the monomer shown by formula(b) is preferably of the applicable range of 20 to 45mol%. These polyesters are synthesized by a routine polymerization method or an ester exchange method. Subsequently, high transfer density can be obtained without thermal fusion to a thermal transfer color donotive material during transfer process. (in the formula, R is a linear or branched alkylene group and/or polyoxyalkylene group having a main chain of 4 or more carbon atoms.)
