The sensor (2) is mounted at a suitable place on the radiator to register the dominant temp. level. An evaluating unit (17) is spaced from the sensor yet supplied by its output signal and provided with its own power supply. This electronic unit forms and stores a value for the total heat radiated. The electronic evaluating unit is withdrawn clear of the radiator and ficed in a position removed from the strongly heated area. The sensor is mounted in heat contact with a first assembly member (3). A second assembly member (3') is provided for the evaluating unit. ADVANTAGE - No suspended coupling lead sections. Less prone to faults.
