<p>A plastic accessory (10) having a retaining socket (16) for use with socket head cap screws (12), the plastic accessory engagingly receiving the head (36) of the screw (12) and having a hub (18) concentrically positioned within the retaining socket (16) and co-axial with the socket (16). The upper body portion of the hub (18), upon engagement with the screw (12), is both sheared and reshaped to a configuration corresponding to that of a head drive socket (40) of the screw (12). The screw head (36) is resiliently received by deforming, shearing and press fitting into the retaining socket of the plastic accessory (10).</p> |
