Accumulator sealant, containing petroleum derived asphalt, plasticizer and organic filler; is characterised in that it contains 30-60 parts by weight of petroleum derived asphalt, 21-37 parts by weight of hydroraffinate, being the product of conservative processing of crude oil selectively furfural-refined, then de-waxed and hydrogen refined, 0.1-1.0 part by weight of colloidal silica with bulk density 160-230 kg/m<3> and with oil absorption number 150-245, and 0-06 parts by weight of α naphthylamine.
