<p>Proposed is a d.c. electric motor, in particular a starter motor (10) for internal-combustion engines, the design of which makes optimum use of the space available for the windings of the exciter coil (11). To this end, the pole shoes (16) are attached to the inside of the motor housing and each pole carries an exciter coil (11), the outer surface of the pole shoe (16) being welded to the near end (11a) of the exciter coil (11). This makes it possible for the exciter coil (11) to be wound round the pole shoe (16) without leaving an air gap.</p> |
