The piece goods conveyance takes place over surface of a platform (15) by rollers (13), which project through holes in the platform. The rollers are arranged in parallel rows ano mounted in housings (2) installed below the platform. The rollers are driven by friction pulleys (17) mounted in the housings. Each pulley is driven by a belt (20) from a shaft (22). There is a shaft for each row of rollers, with a belt drive to each friction pulley. Each housing can be rotated about its vertical axis (10) to change the oirection of movement of the load. A mechanism can rotate all housings simultaneously.
