[Also in Division C3] Photoconductive polymers contain units of formula where n is 0 to 4, R<SP>1</SP> is alkyl or (CH 2 ) m Y, Y is OH, CN or CO 2 H , m is 1 to 4, R<SP>2</SP> and R<SP>3</SP> are alkyl or aralkyl and R<SP>4</SP> is H or NO 2 . The polymers together with P.V.C., phenolic resin, polystyrene or chlorinated rubber and diphenyl xylyl phosphate as a plasticizer are coated as an organic solution on a copper or aluminium plate, paper or a plastics substrate to give an electrophotographic plate.
