PURPOSE:To provide the binary developer for an electrostatic charge image not causing background stains at the time of copying operation in a comparatively early stage of the successive copying operation by attaching fine inorganic oxide particles specified in volume resistivity at the time of mixing a magnetic particles-dispersed type carrier with a toner. CONSTITUTION:The fine inorganic oxide particles are added at the time of mixing the toner with the carrier, and said three materials can be mixed at the same time and the oxide particles may be added after the toner and the carrier have been mixed to form the developer. It is preferred to use the fine inorganic oxide particles having a volume resistivity of 10<5> - 10<12>OMEGA.cm and an average particle diameter of <=1mmu and a triboelectrification series position between the toner and the carrier and to be an n-type semiconductor, and these oxide particles can be embodied by TiO2, BaO, ZnO, SnO2, CeO2, and the like. |
