Method for constructing a cable-stayed bridge, the floor (deck) (1) of which is formed by two parallel series of arch stones joined together by linkage pieces, called deltas (7) which carry, at their upper part (8), the anchoring points for the stays (cables) (12). During fitting, the lower parts (9) of the successive deltas are solidly attached to rigid brick noggins (14) and, preferably, auxiliary prestress cables (13) are fitted, joining the upper part (8) of one delta to the lower part (9) of the following delta (7), these cables being approximately in extension of the stays.
