N-alkyl-n-alkoxy (or alkenyloxy) phenoxacetamides - with herbicidal activity

Compounds of formula: where X, Y = H, Cl, Br, alkoxy; R1=alkyl, alkenyl; R2= alkenyl. The compounds are pre-and post-emergence herbicides useful at 10 kg/ha as pre-emergence and at 1.25 kg/ha as selective herbicides. Prepared by reacting the appropriate phenoxyacetyl chloride or bromide with substituted hydroxylamines.
