CHIP COMPONENT MOUNT TERMINAL

PURPOSE:To make it possible to mount a chip component on a circuit board easily and minimize the generation of stray capacitance by forming a mount terminal piece vertically to a circuit board. CONSTITUTION:A mount terminal 10 includes four mount terminal pieces ranging from 12a to 12d with a cross section of L character, which are formed with a metal material having elastic properties and soldered with an electrode 15 on a circuit board 14 with solder 16. A chip component 18 includes an electronic device 20 and four U-shaped electrodes 22a to 22d and it is fixedly installed to the circuit board 14 by the elastic properties of the mount terminal 10. This construction makes it possible to replace a chip component easily and reduce the generation of stray capacitance and hence minimize the effect on the characteristics of the circuit board of the stray capacitance.
