The surface structure is generated on a roller (2) designed for application to a material. The roller (2) has recesses (22) produced by an electron beam (3) and consisting of depressions and crater walls (62) surrounding them. The recesses (22) are arranged in a two-dimensional grid with a constant grid structure. The grid consists of substantially mutually parallel rows of recesses (65) and the recesses (22) in neighbouring rows (65) are mutually staggered. The recesses overlap at least in the direction of the row or in a direction running transversely thereto and thus form a quasi-stochastic grid. In the process for producing the surface structure, a grid formed by the recesses with a constant grid structure is produced by the electron beam in the region of the roller surface. The partly overlapping arrangement of the recesses produce a pseudo-stochastic three-dimensional surface contour.
|
