<p>PURPOSE:To facilitate the handling of various kinds and a large amount of data and simultaneously, to quickly select and set the data by using a ball, and detecting its rotating direction and rotation quantity. CONSTITUTION:An operating part 1 using the ball, a data selecting LCD display part 2, a data setting LCD display part 3 are provided. When the character table of 10 rows X 10 columns displayed by amn(m,n : 0, 1, 2, 3, - 9) is considered, the data selecting LCD display part 2 obtains the array of 3 X 3 when a data input waiting state is obtained. The ball is rotated by fingers, so that the position of the display of the LCD display 2 is moved one by one character according to the rotating direction and rotation quantity of the ball. In this state, the central character is a selected one, and when the ball is depressed, a supporting member 9 serving also as a switch is activiated, and the character is set. On the other hand, when the character is required to be quickly retrieved, the ball is rotated fast, so that the LCD display part 2 displays the array of 10 X 10. Thus, various kinds and a large amount of data are selected and set without complicating an operation.</p> |
