PURPOSE:To obtain the subject polymer having good particle shape and high stereo-regularity by using a catalyst system composed of a specific solid catalyst component containing Mg, Ti, Si, Al, B and halogen, etc., a specific organometallic compound and an electron-donative compound. CONSTITUTION:The objective polymer can be produced by polymerizing a monomer in the presence of a catalyst system composed of (A) a solid catalyst component produced by reacting (i) a homogeneous solution containing Mg, a hydroxylated organic compound, an oxygen-containing organic compound of Ti and/or an oxygen-containing organic compound of Si and an oxygen- containing organic compound of Al and/or a B compound with (ii) an Al halide and reacting the resultant solid product with (iii) an electron-donative compound, (iv) a halogenated Ti compound and (v) ethylene and/or >=3C alpha-olefin, (B) an organometallic compound of group IA, IIA, IIB, IIIB or IVB metal of the periodic table, etc., and (C) an electron-donative compound.
