<p>PURPOSE:To improve straight advancing driving stability at high speed time by actuating a short relay to short-circuit a steering motor while on-operating a clutch in a high speed region, and increasing operational force of a steering handle. CONSTITUTION:When a steering handle 11 is operated, this operation is detected by a torque sensor part 16, and a current is supplied from a controller 22 to rotate a steering motor 13, so that power assistance is performed by giving operational force to a steering shaft 12 via a reduction gear 14 in an on- condition of a clutch 15. In an electrically-operated power steering device thus obtained, a condition of a car speed signal from a car speed sensor is detected for whether or not the condition is in a high speed region, for instance, 90Km/h or more. When a car speed is in 90Km/h or more, a short relay 23 is actuated to short-circuit the steering motor 13 and also turning on the clutch 15 to make the operation of the steering handle 11 heavy.</p> |
